SPECIAL DIET FOR PISCES

As noted in the chapter on Pisces, your sign has certain disease tendencies.  Many of these may be corrected by proper diet, stressing food elements that your system may lack.  In addition, there are herbs which are of particular benefit to natives of your sign.  Some may be used as cooking herbs, others for medicinal purposes.

PISCES

For the normal or underweight Pisces:

Breakfast

Breakfast

Blueberry muffin
Eggs (dash kelp and basil or parsley)
Coffee or Sanka (dash dandelion root) or slippery-elm tea

Lunch

Mixed vegetable juice cocktail
Creamed shrimp and mushrooms on toast
Shredded raw cabbage and carrot salad
Coffee or Sanka (pinch gentian root) or basil herb tea

Dinner       

Clam chowder (dash tarragon or thyme)
Broiled salmon (chopped mint) or broiled sole (dash mace)
Small whole boiled potatoes (parsley)
Steamed broccoli, butter sauce
Mixed green salad (pinch of rue in all-purpose dressing)
Lemon pudding
Coffee or Sanka (pinch plantain) or sweet marjoram tea

Before retiring; a mixed herb tea or catnip or chamomile tea

 

For the overweight Pisces:

Grapefruit juice or one half grapefruit
One egg (pinch oregano or paprika)
Bran muffin
Coffee, cocoa or comfrey tea

Lunch

Carrot-watercress juice
One grilled beef patty (garlic salt)
Lettuce-tomato-cucumber salad (pinch basil on tomato, low-calorie dressing)
Coffee or Sanka (one sage leaf) or alfalfa tea

Dinner

Tomato soup, clear (dash tarragon)
Sliced roast chicken
Steamed carrots and peas (thyme)
Green salad: lettuce, raw spinach, watercress, etc., lemon juice, oil
Apple snow
Coffee or Sanka (plantain, chamomile) or balm tea


Breakfast

One half lemon in water, or figs
One egg (dash kelp and basil or parsley)
Zweiback
Coffee (buckthorn herb) or slippery-elm tea

Lunch

Carrot-coconut juice
Fruit salad plate with cottage or cream cheese
Wheat Melba toast
Coffee or Sanka (pinch gentian root) or basil herb tea

Dinner

Potato soup (chopped parsley)
Steamed cod or haddock (sage, bay leaf, rosemary, tarragon)
Mixed salad; romaine, tomato, radish, celery, etc.
Dietetic lime jello
